Yoshiko Hada

Japanese Artist

A Japanese illustrator based in Tokyo, she is known for her simple yet dynamic forms, colorful palettes, and playful style, creating illustrations for a wide range of media including packages, posters, CD/DVD jackets, miscellaneous goods, and textiles, both domestically and internationally. Alongside her commissioned work, she actively participates in overseas exhibitions, workshops, and conferences, drawing inspiration from experiences such as the workshop of Jesús Cisneros in 2018. After winning the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition, she became deeply interested in picture book creation and is currently working toward publishing her first book. Her works have been exhibited globally, including Art for Kids (Poland, 2025), solo exhibitions such as Decora (Tokyo, 2024), Life is Wonderful (Kanagawa, 2024), Strange Groove (Tokyo, 2022), and earlier showcases in Italy, Portugal, France, and Ukraine. Over the years, her artistic achievements have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including wins at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition in 2025 and 2021, ILUSTRARTE2018, The Choice in 2016, and the Tokyo Illustrators Society Competition in 2015, as well as the Jury Prize at the Note Exhibition Competition in 2010. Through her colorful and expressive work, she continues to expand her creative practice while building an international presence as both an illustrator and picture book artist.
